A coach operator in Nottingham installed A CCTV system monitored by Remote Video Response (RVR) to ensure that people do not steal fuel there.
Fuel theft became a serious concern for the coach operator with the ever-rising price of fuel leading to a marked increase in thefts across the UK.
Sharpes is a family-run coach travel company that operates a fleet of vehicles, some valued in excess of £400,000. Since the new monitoring system was installed Sharpes said no incidents of theft have been reported at the vehicle storage and fuel compound. Before the new Remote Video Response was installed its onsite fuel supply was often a target for theft. The solution was an RSI Videofied system, integrating existing systems with RVR’s remote video response centre in Gloucester. It protects not only the fleet of vehicles but also the storage compound at night.
Sharpe says that the benefits and flexibility that the RSI system provides, and the added enhancement of off-site monitoring has delivered a cost-efficient and security-effective solution.
